Knurl is sequence-based, not calendar-based. It proposes the day that comes after your last completed workout in your program’s rotation. Only completing a workout advances the sequence — choosing “Rest” keeps the same day waiting for you tomorrow.

No. Knurl has no account and no server. Your data lives on your device and, if you enable iCloud, syncs privately across your devices under your Apple ID.

Yes, if iCloud is enabled for Knurl. Sync uses your private iCloud (CloudKit). If your data isn’t syncing, check that you’re signed into iCloud and that iCloud is enabled for Knurl in your device settings.

In Settings, enable “Start at the gym” and save your gym’s location. Knurl needs “Always” location access so it can notice when you arrive (in the background) and offer to start your workout. Your location stays on your device — Knurl has no server. You can add multiple gyms, or delete them, anytime.

So it can add your planned or completed workouts to your calendar (or reminders, for untimed days) and keep them in sync without creating duplicates. It only touches events it created.

Set a target 1RM or a target weight × reps for an exercise. Knurl tracks your progress from your personal records and last session, and shows it as a ring or a filled petal.

Yes — tap the pencil on a day (or long-press it) to rename “Day 1” to “Push”, “Pull”, or anything you like.
